Happy Birthday Tonio

at 6:40 am, 27 years ago, my first bundle of joy was delivered into my arms and I have held a very special love for him since. Happy Birthday son, you are my first born and oh how I wanted you so badly, I remember when the doc said "Ms. Steffes, congratulations, you're pregnant", I was bursting with joy. 27 years later, I still feel the same way. I love you my baby boy, no matter how old you get, you will always be "momma's little boy.

You loved your mammie and pa from the very beginning

and you've been my little man since you could walk and talk

we shared everything when it was just you and I

 and as you began to grow into the man you are today, you continued to take care of your momma like no one else ever has

 and when you decided to serve and protect your country, I would not have been more proud of you

you may have traveled around the world, but to me, you will always be my little boy

My son, James, is a veteran and on this day I would like to take a moment to say thank you to him and all men and women who are currently serving, who have served in the past, and most importantly to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, their life, so that we may live in a country as free human beings. Lashley Family Reunion

On Saturday, November 10, 2012, we went to the Lashley Family Reunion. This is my daddy's side of he family. I have never been to this one before but we had a good time.....and the weather was great, we were at Luther Britt Park
